SUMMER SCHOOL NAMES 38 SCHOLARS TO TEACH

John Mason Brown, Dramatic Critic on New York Post, Will Be Among Noted Men Her This Summer

John Mason Brown '23, drama critic of the New York Evening Post, will return to teach two summer school courses this year, Kirtley F. Mather, professor of Geology and director of the session, announced yesterday.

He is one of 36 scholars from outside the University who will join 82 faculty members, including 17 full professors, in the Summer School from July 5 to August 17.

From Cornell will come professor of Musicology Otto Kinkeldey for his third year. Westerners will be Professors of Education William H. Burton and Edwin A. Lee, together with Edwin F. Carpenter, Arizona astronomer.

Frederick L. Schuman of Williams, whose International Relations texts are standard here, will teach in his field with Professor Fred A. Shannon of Kansas and George H. Blakeslee from Clark University. From Amsterdam comes Professor Karel R.Gallas to lecture on modern French language and literature.
