Lowell Five Wins, Holds First Place

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Lowell retained first place in the House 'A' basketball league last night when Paul Altrocchi sank a foul shot to beat Leverett, 40 to 39. Dudley barely edged Kirkland, 41 to 38, and the Army and Air Force took forfeits from Winthrop and Eliot respectively.

Kirkland 26 to 19

Eliot swimmers beat Dudley last night in a lopsided meet as four veterans. Claude Hooton, Pliny Jewell, Allan Kenney, and Frederic Weymer led the Elephants by figuring in every event. In other House swimming events a win by a strong Adams 200 yard relay team tied the meet with Lowell at 24 to 34. The Bunnies beat Kirkland 33 to 15 and Winthrop 36 to 12, while Winthrop bowed to Kirkland, 31 to 17.

Dunster crushed Winthrop in the lone 'A' squash match, 5 to 0.

A forfeit by the Adams hockey team gave an easy victory to Dudley.

'B' league squash matches recorded were Lowell 5, Adams 0; Eliot 5, Winthrop 0; Kirkland 5, Leverett 0.
