Parking on Plympton Street will be banned as soon as resurfacing work is begun. Cambridge police officials announced yesterday.
The Department of Public Works expects to begin work on the street early next week, at which time police will tow away any parked car. On the night before resurfacing work is started, police will post "no parking" signs on both sides of Plympton Street.
Several automobiles parked on the wrong side of the street have already been ticketed or towed away.
