Overall, the team went 15-8 in singles and 5-3 in doubles. Freshmen Robert Wrzesinski and Constantin Zoske, sophomores Galen Lee and Logan Weber, juniors Andrew Ball, Michael Peters, and Andy Zhou, and seniors Grant Solomon and Jean Thirouin competed in the weekend’s match-ups against the Tribe, Middle Tennessee State, Penn State, Old Dominion, VCU, and Richmond.

Men's Tennis Splits Cornell and Columbia Contests

This weekend served up a rollercoaster of emotions for the Harvard men’s tennis team. On Saturday, the team—undefeated in the Ivy conference at that point and riding a six-game win-streak—faced off against a similarly undefeated No.20 Columbia squad at home. After clinching the win 4-2 and moving to first place in the Ivy League, the Crimson took on No. 25 Cornell on Sunday, ultimately falling 4-2.

With a blizzard on the forecast for Saturday, the Harvard men’s tennis team’s Ivy opener against Dartmouth was rescheduled to Sunday afternoon. On Sunday, the team made the two-hour trek to Hanover, N.H., but the trip was worth it: with a 4-1 defeat of the Big Green, the Crimson extended its win-streak to four and entered Ivy competition on a strong note.

​This Sunday, the Harvard men’s tennis team hosted a doubleheader against No. 44 Memphis and Boston University at the Murr Tennis Center. The Crimson, following a close one point loss to the Tigers, made quick work of their crosstown rival with a dominating 6-1 victory.

On Saturday, the Crimson took on No.9 Northwestern, while the squad faced off against Boise State the following day. While the team fell to the undefeated Wildcats (9-0), it ended the weekend on a high note with a sweeping win against Boise State (1-6).
