On a warm Saturday afternoon at Mignone field, the No. 4 Harvard Radcliffe women’s rugby team (3-1-1, 1-1 Ivy) was unable to mount a comeback against the No. 1 Dartmouth College team in a 39-10 loss.
On Friday night, midway through the second half, the scoreboard displayed a score of 00-0 after the No. 7 Harvard Radcliffe Women’s rugby team (2-1-0) had scored 100 points against Mt. St. Mary’s (0-0-3), resetting the scoreboard, on its way to a 130-0 thumping of its opponents. The margin of victory was the greatest in program history.
On Friday, the No. 7 Harvard Radcliffe Women’s Rugby club opened its season with a 61-0 blowout win against No. 9 West Chester University in West Chester, Penn. The victory gives the Crimson a 6-0 series history, a 2-0 series history at West Chester, as well as a season opening win for the second consecutive year.
Coming off a pool play loss against the Big Green in Hanover, N.H., the Crimson executed a second half comeback in a low-scoring affair to claim its second consecutive 7s rugby Ivy League championship.
