The Green Monster Up Close
If you ask me, the top three American landmarks, in no particular order, are the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, and…Fenway Park. Few people ever get the opportunity to experience the Green Monster in person. I am now one of those lucky few, as I was on-hand for MLB’s national Jackie Robinson Day on April 16.
Women's Hoops Extends Win Streak to Seven

The four seniors of last year’s Harvard women’s basketball team could do all this and more, and the Crimson rode these veterans to an 11-3 Ivy League record. </p> <p> </p> <p>A loss to Dartmouth in the final game of last season took away the squad’s hopes of an Ivy League title, but Harvard received a berth in the NIT.</p>

Harvard Highlights Weekend With Sweep
Last season, the Crimson women’s volleyball team defeated Columbia in two meetings but lost to Cornell twice. This season, Harvard had it out for the New York teams and entered each contest looking to prove that it is the better squad—and did so in a weekend sweep at the Malkin Athletic Center. The Crimson (10-11, 6-4 Ivy) overcame Columbia (11-10, 2-6) on Friday night and shellacked Cornell (6-15, 3-7) on Saturday.
Harvard Splits Contests Against Killer P’s
After cruising past Columbia and Cornell in its two previous games, the Harvard women’s volleyball team looked to continue its win streak at the Malkin Athletic Center this past weekend. The Crimson (7-10, 3-3 Ivy) split its home games versus two more Ivy League opponents, defeating Princeton (3-12, 1-3), 3-2, on Friday night before falling to Penn (14-4, 5-0) on Saturday, 3-1.
Freshman Owusu Continues Family Tradition
Football is one of those sports where talent often runs in the family. Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning, Howie and Chris Long, Kellen and Kellen Winslow—the list of NFL families is lengthy. Harvard football is no exception to this trend, as the Crimson can say it has a player whose family heirloom is a football. Hailing from Oxnard, California, freshman defensive back Brian Owusu is the second oldest in a family of five standout athletes.
