At the gymnasium, last evening, a fair number of spectators saw the most successful of the weekly contest that has yet been held. The number of contestants, however, did not increase, as was expected, much to the regret of those who are interested in the success of the team next spring.

Pennypacker, '88, won the shot with a put of 35 ft. 10 1 2 in., an improvement of 4 in. over his best previous record. Gibson, '88, was second with 34 ft. 5 1-2 in.,- 2 ft. 6 in. better than his record.

Bell, '91, won the high jump with 5 ft. 5 in. to his credit. His best previous jump was 5 ft. 4 1-8 in. Hale, '91, was second at 5 ft. 3 3-4 in.

F. Mason won the pole-vault, having made 9 ft. Hale, '91, was second, clearing 8 ft. 9 in.
