Candidates for the Nine.

A meeting of the candidates for the positions of pitcher and catcher of the University nine was held last evening in the rooms of Captain Willard. There was no new material. The candidates for pitcher are Bates, '91; Kielty, '90; Luce, '91, and McLeod, '90; for catcher, Hale, L. S. S.; Henshaw, '89, and Howland, L. S. Hours will be assigned each man for practice in the cage, which will be begun immediately. In addition to the above, Captain Willard has undertaken to coach Perrin, Churchill and Bell of the freshman class, who are candidates of the freshman class, who are candidates for the freshman nine-the first two as pitchers, the last as a catcher.
