Yesterday, for the first time this year, the candidates for the Mott Haven team trained on the track on Holmes Field. Never before has the track been used so early in the season. In addition to the new candidates the following men of last year's team appeared: Wheelwright, Holmes, Garcelon, Merrill, Whittren, Hill, Lakin, Jameson and Chaney. Collamore was also out but it is not certain that he will be able to train.

Mr. Lathrop will from this time on be on the track to train men every day from 11 to 1 and from 3.30 to 5.30.

Captain Wheelwright expects to take the men to the training table as soon as college opens after the spring recess.
