A new incentive to hard drilling has been added in an assured competitive drill with the Technology Cadet Battalion to take place in Mechanics Hall next May. The two squads of the Rifles will continue to drill as at present, and if, in the spring, all the men are proficient, the entire company will compete against the M. I. T. company; otherwise. Lieutenant Robinson will enter but one squad of picked men against a squad from the M. I. T. The skill of the two bodies of men in drilling will be compared, and also individual excellence. Prizes will probably be given, as is customary, in both competitions. A competitive drill with Yale is doubtful, owing to lack of funds to transport a company.
