The last meeting of the Natural History Society for this year was held Thursday evening. Prof. N. S. Shaler addressed the society, giving a history of the organization and outlining its opportunities for future usefulness.

Important changes in the constitution were made, and the reports of the secretary and treasurer were read. The treasurer's report showed that the finances were in a very prosperous condition, and that of the secretary showed a large membership and well-attended meetings. The following board of officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, W. H. Phelps '97; Vice-President, F. H. Pratt, '96; secretary, W. L. W. Field, L. S. S.; treasurer, S.
