'VARSITY PRACTICE.

Hard Playing Done in the Rain.- Game With Wesleyan Today.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

On account of the rain, the practice yesterday was rather shorter than usual, but it was also much more spirited. The ball being wet and slippery there was a good deal of fumbling, but apart from this, the backs put up a good game. Brine especially made one long run for a touchdown. He is rather light for a 'Varsity man, but runs hard and dodges well. Newell and Waters were both out coaching in football clothes and gave the opposing tackles some practical lessons in breaking through and tackling. Fairbanks, centre on last year's Freshman team, has been out a day or two but has done only light work in order to get into condition. He will begin playing in a day or two, and as he is strong and weighs about 230 pounds he should make a good man with coaching.

Today at 4 o'clock Harard plays the Wesleyan team, which held Williams down to six points. An interesting game is expected.

The line-up of the two teams will be as follows:

HARVARD. WESLEYAN.
