The ice hockey team has been practicing regularly during the vacation and has defeated a team from Dorchester 13-2, and one from M. I. T., 7-0. Permission has been obtained from the Athletic Committee to play two games with Yale, at Cambridge and New Haven, and also two with Brown, here and at Providence.

Yesterday afternoon, at the first practice since the vacation, several new men came out, increasing the total number of candidates to over twenty. The work, which lasted about an hour and a half, was full of life and as good as could be expected so early in the year. The men were divided into two teams and a scrub game was played, every candidate being given a chance to play at some time during the practice. The squad will not be reduced for several days.
