NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman nine defeated the Groton school team yesterday afternoon at Groton in a five inning game by the score of 18 to 5. In spite of the poor conditions, the game was exceedingly well played.

MacDonald pitched a good game, giving only four men bases on balls and making three hits out of three times at bat. Cropley made a beautiful catch of a long drive into left field. The Freshmen made but one error and Groton seven.

The score by innings follows:

Innings, 1 2 3 4 5

Freshmen, 3 3 1 2 9-18

Groton, 2 2 0 0 1-5
