NEW YORK, May 27.- The preliminary heats and trials in the intercollegiate track games were held today on Berkeley Oval. Despite the heavy track and field three records were broken.

The Harvard entries made a very good showing, nearly all of them qualifying for the semi-finals and finals which will be run off tomorrow afternoon.
