The Freshman track games were held on Holmes Field yesterday afternoon. The games were very successful in bringing a large number of men out, and the records made were in almost all cases extremely creditable.
The summary follows:
120 yards hurdle--Won by R. Abercrombie; second, R. Wellman. Time, 17 1-5s.
100 yards dash, first heat--Won by B. C. Lancy; second, R. Inglis; third, M. T. Wendell. Time, 10 2-5s. Second heat--Won by J. E. Haigh; second, L. J. Hibbard; third, A. H. Schefer. Time, 10 2-5s. Final heat--Won by B. C. Lancy; second, J. E. Haigh; third, R. Inglis. Time, 10 2-5s.
440 yards dash--Won by H. K. Torrey; second, H. B. Young; third, S. Waller. Time, 54 2-5s.
880 yards run--Won by G. E. Behr, Jr.; second, J. W. Foster; third, C. L. Perkins. Time, 2m. 9s.
One mile run--Won by E. Randolph; second, J. E. O'Connell; third, R. B. Thomas. Time, 5m. 1 1-5s.
220 yards dash--Won by B. C. Lancy; second, R. Inglis; third, L. J. Hibbard. Time, 22 1-5s.
Running high jump--Won by N. F. Glidden, Jr., 5 ft. 7 in.; second, E. H. Webb, 5 ft. 6 1-4 in.; third, G. R. Ainsworth, 5 ft. 5 1-2 in.
Running broad jump--Won by E. H. Webb, 20 ft. 7 in.; second, N. F. Glidden, Jr., 19 ft. 9 1-2 in.; third, H. S. Wells, 19 ft. 6 in.
After the games, D. Grant 2M., ran two miles in 10m. 6 2-5s.
