Regular winter work for candidates for the University track team began yesterday at the Gymnasium. About thirty men, including some of the members of last year's team, reported, and were given light exercise with the chest-weights and dumb-bells, practice in starts in the Gymnasium, and four easy laps on the new circular board track on Holmes Field. The squads will continue to meet at 11, 12, 3.30 and 4.30 o'clock each day, with the exception of Saturday, when there will be but one squad which will meet at 12 o'clock.
