The following prizes have been awarded for last year:
For dissertations in Greek and Latin, undergraduate prizes; to J. A. Moody '05, a prize of $50 for a translation into Latin; to E. A. Hecker '05, a prize of $50 for a translation into Greek; graduate prize, to D. P. Lockwood 2G., a prize of $100 for an original essay in Latin entitled "Decanus Carolo Suo Salutem."
The Sargent prize; to R. E. Bates '05, a prize of $100 for a translation of the third ode of the second book of Horace.
The George B. Sohier prize; to W. R. Nelles '05, a prize of $250 for a thesis on "The Dramatic Work of Henry Fielding."
The Sales prize; to M. S. Donlan '06, prize of $45 for translating into Spanish a passage from Lamb's "Essays of Elia."
The Philip Washburn prize; to L. B. Buyard '05, a prize of $75.
The Toppan prize; to R. G. Usher sL., a prize of $150 for an essay on "The High Commission.
The Summer prize; to H. C. Jones 2L., a prize of $100 for an essay entitled "The limitations and possibilities of international arbitration at shown by the subjects to which it actually has been applied."
