Award of Garrison Prize

The Lloyd McKim Garrison Prize, consisting of $100 and a silver medal, has been awarded to R. E. Rogers '09 for his poem on Serge Witte. The poem will be printed in an early number of the Monthly. The committee of the Department of English which chooses the successful candidate is composed of Professor Barrett Wendell '77, Professor G. L. Kittredge '82, and Professor G. P. Baker '87.

A fund providing the medal and the sum of money annually was established some years ago and awarded for the first time last year to C. T. Ryder '06 for a sonnet sequence of three sonnets on the Immigrant.
