Freshmen Defeated Somerville High

The Freshman baseball team defeated Somerville High School on Soldiers Field yesterday by the score of 8 to 3. The Freshmen played a good game and showed ability to hit when needed. Hardy pitched very well, allowing only one hit.

The first score for the Freshmen was made by Lowrey in the second inning on a sacrifice hit by Watson. In the third, Hardy and Brown scored on Coon's three-bagger. Holbrook and Sullivan both got runs in the next inning on a hit by Brown. A few minutes later Tomes brought in Coon on a clean hit to right field. Booth made the last run for the Freshmen in the ninth. Only one of Somerville's runs was earned, the other two being made on errors.
