There will be a meeting of all candidates for the University baseball team and of battery candidates for the Freshman baseball team in Lower Massachusetts next Tuesday evening at 7.30 o'clock. R. S. Potter '12, captain of the University team, will speak and will outline the preliminary work of the season.

Both University and Freshman battery candidates will begin daily work on the chest-weights in the Hemenway Gymnasium on January 25, continuing until February 12 when regular practice for the batteries in the Baseball Cage will commence. University and Freshman fielding candidates will be called out on March 1. As many men as possible are urged to report for University and Freshman battery practice. For University fielding practice, however, only those men who were retained on the squad last fall or who were prevented from reporting on account of football work, will be called out. Other men wishing to try for the University baseball team must obtain special permission from R. S. Potter '12.
