Receptions to New Students

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

This year, as has been the custom for a number of years, a reception for the entire Freshman class will be held in Brooks House. It will be held Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock and all members of 1916 will be made welcome. Each man will be tagged with his name and will be expected to make as many acquaintances with his classmates as possible. Men prominent in the various activities of College life will speak to the new students, presenting brief surveys of the literary, scholastic, and athletic phases of the University.

Meeting in Union Thursday.

A meeting for the reception of new students in the University will be held in the Living Room of the Union next Thursday evening. Dean Briggs will preside; and addresses will be made by President Lowell, President-Emeritus Eliot, Acting Assistant Dean Yeomans, and P. R. Withington '12. This is the first chance new men will have to get in touch with the authorities of University administration.
