ATHLETIC CONFERENCES PLANNED

Division of Education of Conduct Series Starting Saturday.

The Division of Education plans to hold a series of conferences on the theory, administration and conduct of athletics in schools and colleges, commencing on Saturday, when Joseph Lee '83, of the Boston School Committee, will deal with "The Nature and Significance of the Athletic Interest and its Place in Education." These conferences are intended primarily for principals and teachers of secondary schools and for students intending to enter secondary school work, they will be held in Lawrence 7.

The other conferences have been arranged as follows:

May 4, 4.30 P. M.--"The Ethics of Athletics," Dean Le Baron R. Briggs.

May 6, 10 A. M.--"Administration and Conduct of Athletics in College," Dr. Paul C. Phillips.

May 11, 4.30 P. M.--"Health and Athletics: Advantages and Dangers," Dr. Dudley A. Sargent, Director of Hemenway Gymnasium.

May 13, 10 A. M.--"Administration and Conduct of Athletics in Secondary Schools," Dr. Pierson S. Page.

May 20, 10 A. M.--"Coaching: Track and Field," W. F. Garcelon.

May 27, 10 A. M.--"Coaching: Football," P. D. Haughton '99.
