The Freshman cross-country team was defeated by Wakefield High School on the Belmont course last Saturday, capturing second place in the four-cornered contest. St. Benedict's Athletic Association from Newark, N. J., was third. The team score at the end of the race stood as follows: Wakefield High School, 32; Freshmen, 56; St. Benedict's School, 67; Providence Technical High School, 71. The first five men on the winning team were awarded individual cups. D. F. O'Connell '21, captain of the Freshmen, was the star of the race, winning first place in 16 minutes, 36 seconds, one second faster than the time of the Harvard-Yale Freshman contest last year. J. E. Nally '21, was a good third, crossing the line behind Nulty of St. Benedict's. Wakefield's first man was Burke in fourth place, but four other Wakefield runners finished in quick succession.

The following were the first five 1921 harriers to finish: 1, D. F. O'Connell; 3, J. E. Nally; 10, C. C. Page; 19, W. F. Ingersoll; 23, A. E. Chambers.
