HOCKEY TEAM TO PLAY YALE AND PRINCETON

1ST 1922 GAME TODAY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The tentative schedule for the University hockey team, as announced yesterday with the permission of the Athletic Committee, includes contests with both Yale and Princeton. On February 8th the University seven will clash with the Eli septet on the Charlesbank rink, and on February 22 will meet the Tigers in the Brooklyn Ice Palace.

Little is known of the strength of the Princeton and Yale hockey squads, for, as yet, they have played no intercollegiate games. The match with Princeton will be the only contest of the year to be played on an indoor rink.

These two games will mark the resumption of formal sport with Yale and Princeton on a pre-war basis. The last matches in hockey between the three teams were played during the winter of 1917, when the University defeated Yale 5-0, but lost to Princeton, 2-1.

Only two other contests are included in the University schedule: one with St. Paul's School at Concord and one with Camp Devens in Cambridge. The schedule follows:

Jan. 30.--Camp Devens, at Cambridge.

Feb. 1 or 15.--St. Paul's, at Concord, N. H.

Feb. 8.--Yale, at Cambridge.

Feb. 22.--Princeton, at Brooklyn.

Freshmen Clash With Exeter.

The Freshman team meets Exeter in its first game of the year this afternoon on the Charlesbank rink at 2 o'clock. The line-up for the game will be as follows: 1922.  EXETER. Humphrey, r.w.  l.w., Lamont Baker, r.c.  l.c., Powers Smith, l.c.  r.c., Chandonnet Angier, l.w.  r.w., Burnett Colt, c.p.  c.p., Woodbury Gratwick, Lincoln, p.  p., Handy, Murray O'Mealey, Higgins, g.  g., Cantillon
