9 "H" MEN REPORT FOR SEVEN

ABUNDANT MATERIAL MAKES THE OUTLOOK ENCOURAGING--PRACTICE SOON,

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Hockey prospects this year seem unusually bright as there is a wealth of material, and a great many men who have had previous experience on University or Freshmen teams have reported this season. A total of nine "H" men have turned out so far, including Captain N. S. Walker '20. C. A. Clark Occ., however, has decided that he will not play this year.

The veterans who have come back and the positions they play are as follows: T. M. Avery '21, centre; F. M. Bacon '21, left wing; E. L. Bigelow '21, centre; R. W. Buntin '21, forward; E. Cabot '20, forward; F. C. Church '20, defense; J. Holmes '21, goal; N. S. Walker '20, defense; and H. B. W. Snelling '21, forward. W. J. Louderback, Jr., '20, a substitute goal on last year's seven, has also signed up for the coming season.

H. F. Colt '22, captain of last year's yearling team, heads the list of Sophomores who have reported for the University squad. Others prominent on the 1922 team who have come out are as follows: H. B. Humphrey, Jr., right wing; J. M. Martin, forward; D. Angier, left wing; M. Gratwick, defense; E. C. Lincoln, defense; W. J. Banes, wing; and R. E. Smith, forward.

More men are wanted both for the University team and for the second assistant manager competition. Men coming out now will be in no way handicapped by their lateness if they report today to one of the managers or sign up at the H. A. A.

1923 Called Out Tuesday.

The Freshman hockey candidates will hold their first meeting of the year next Tuesday at the Union at 7 o'clock. A big 1923 squad is expected, as much hockey enthusiasm has already been shown by the Freshmen.
