At the intercollegiate finals the University is again host today to more than six hundred athletes representing twenty-two American colleges. When we consider that a few months ago college athletic systems were totally disorganized, and that the men themselves were in military service, the present meet is a striking evidence of the virility of intercollegiate athletics.
King "Dope" has been reluctant to choose the University as a probable winner today, but more than one king has recently displayed fatal weakness in choosing winners. It is hardly necessary, however, to emphasize that a large attendance by members of the University will encourage entrants to victory as well as express proper courtesy toward the visitors from other colleges and universities.
