With both sides repeatedly missing opportunities to score, the Crimson Freshman and St. George's soccer elevens battled to a 1-1 tie on Soldiers Field Saturday. Gray and Brooks starred for the yearlings, while Rosengarten and Woodward did the heavy work for the schoolboys.
The first half was a struggle in the shadow of the St. George goal, inaccurate shooting preventing the Freshmen from scoring. At the end of the half, the schoolboys rallied, and Rennard broke through for the first score. A long shot by Dyer on a pass from Wright gave the yearlings their lone tally
The summary:
Score, Harvard 1926 1, St. George's 1. Time of halves, 30 minutes. Referee, William McAulay. Goals, Rennard, Dyer.
