University Gains Only One Fall and One Decision--Captain Walker in Overtime Bout

The University wrestling team went down to defeat 21-8 at the hands of Springfield's crack matmen on Saturday. The Crimson's points came in the form of a fall and one decision while the visitors scored three falls and two decisions.

The most closely contested match was in the 115-pound class between Captain H. B. Walker '23, and Anderson, which took two overtime periods before the Springfield man could pin down his adversary.

After getting the head scissors twice upon his opponent, only to have him break loose, Curtis Nelson '24 gained the Crimson's only fall on Mazeski by a front body hold. The other three points came when, after one overtime period Benoni Lockwood Jr. '22 was awarded a decision in the unlimited class against Simon.

115-Pound Class.--Anderson (S.) defeated Walker (H.). Fall in 2.39 overtime period.

125-Pound Class.--Stalye (S.) defeated Whitman (H., Fall in 2.25.

135-Pound Class.--Zimmerman (S.) defeated Holmes (H.). Decision 5.11.

145-Pound Class.--Nelson (H.) defeated Mazeski (S.). Fall in 5.50.

158-Pound Class.--Whitney (S.) defeated DeWolfe (H.). Decision 8.19.

175-Pound Class.--Mooney (S.) defeated Abernathy (H.). Fall in 2.23.

Unlimited Class.--Lockwood (R.) defeated Simon (S.). Decision 1.10.
