R. S. Phillips '24 defeated G. G. Mapes '25 7 and 5 in the finals of the University Golf Association Tournament held yesterday on the Chestnut Hill links. The winner's card showed 75 going out and 75 coming back, while Mapes, who was medalist in the qualifying round of the tournament, shot a 76 and an Phillips proved strongest on the greens and at approach shots, where his accuracy was superior to that of his opponent.
