Tonight at 7 o'clock in the Brunswick Hotel, the past and present members of English 5 will hold their annual banquet in honor of Dean Briggs. At this dinner, which the members of the course give annually in appreciation of Dean Briggs' work, Professor J. L. Lowes G. '03 will preside. The speakers will be President Lowell; Mr. H. B. Hastings '91, who will talk on "English 5 Thirty Years Ago"; Mr. C. H. Ernst '10, editor of "The Open Road"; Professor R. W. Brown G. '05, and J. S. Newberry 1G., the representative of this year's class. The arrangements for the banquet, at which approximately 40 men will be present, are under the direction of R. P. Bond 2G.
