Secures State Championship for Team A in Pre-Scheduled Match

After five hard games, the last of which was tied at 13 and their set at five, J. J. Glessner '25 of the University squash team defeated Paul Watson '15 of the Harvard Club of Boston in a per-scheduled contest yesterday afternoon on the Harvard Club of Boston in a pre-scheduled contest yesterday afternoon on the Harvard courts by a score of 9-15, 15-6, 15-6, 6-15, 18-15. As a result of this match the University team has won the Massachusetts state championship.

The Harvard team had a four point lead over the Lincoin's Inn Society, its nearest rival, and needed to win but one match to clinch the title.

The four remaining matches of the meet will be played this afternoon, but the University line-up has been somewhat altered as the result of practice matches during the past week. Harrington has succeeded Debevoise as No. 2 man, and Upjohn and Glessner have changed places, the latter now playing in the No. 5 position.

The meet with the Harvard Club marks the close of the squash season for Team A.
