SEEK TO REDUCE STADIUM CONGESTION TOMORROW

EVERY TICKET FOR BIG GREEN ENCOUNTER SOLD

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With a capacity crowd of over 53,000 thronging to the Stadium tomorrow to witness the Harvard-Dartmouth football game, special precautions are being taken by the officials of the Harvard Athletic Association and the Boston and Cambridge police to prevent congestion on the streets leading to Soldiers Field and within the Stadium.

To Close Memorial Drive

One innovation in the traffic regulations as announced last night will be the closing of Memorial Drive to automobile traffic between Western Avenue and River Street. The detour was made necessary because of the construction work now going on at the new Western Avenue Bridge, where the grade of the road is being raised to the level of the new bridge. On Saturday, all cars going towards Boston will detour at Hingham Street, while cars coming from Boston will detour at River Street.

Every Ticket Sold

Tomorrow's game will be the first of the season at which no tickets will be sold at the gates on Soldiers Field. The last ticket to the game was disposed of on Tuesday morning, when the 4000 pasteboards remaining were snapped up in less than two hours at Cambridge and Boston ticket agencies.

The complete list of regulation for the crowd attending the Dartmouth game is given below:

Stadium Regulations

The game will begin at 2.30 o'clock. Gates will be opened at 1.00 o'clock. The gates on North Harvard Street are numbered from the Anderson Bridge--1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.

All ticket holders should enter gates as follows: Sections 23-37  Gate No. 1 Sections 38-51  Gate No. 3 Sections 1-10  Gate No. 4 Sections 11-22  Gate No. 6

Holders of Standing Room Tickets on top of the Stadium will enter through Gate No. 4 to East Tower.

Special Entrance for Autoists

For persons parking automobiles either in the private parking field or the Brighton playground off Western Avenue there will be a special entrance through the wire fence at Gate 9 directly into Soldiers Field. Persons parking cars on the Metropolitan Parkway in Brighton may enter through Gate 14 at the southwest corner of the field or through Gate 19 opposite the Newell Boat House on the northeast side of the field.

Spectators must keep their seats until the game is over. Ushers and police have been instructed to allow no one to stand in the aisles or entrances while the game is in progress. Persons leaving their seats must leave the field.
