Current activity with the basketball teams will be marked this week by a practice game for the Freshman and scrimmages for the University teams Both teams are working for their games to be played at the end of the week.

The Freshman basketball team will play its first game of the year when it meets the team from Cambridge Latin School today at 4 o'clock in the Freshman Gymnasium. Although this is not an official game Coach A. W. Samborski '25 states that he expects it to be as fast as the games which will be played later on in the season. The match was arranged recently as a practice game in preparation for the game Saturday with Tilton Academy, which will also be played in the Freshman Gymuasium.

The team this year is much lighter than last year's but Coach Samborski states that the speed and endurance of the lighter players will be expected to make up for their lack of weight, and the team ought to have a successful season.

The University basketball team began the second stage of its training for the coming game with Middlebury Monday by a series of short scrimmages, which it is understood will continue throughout the week.
