The first official step in preparing the members of the class of 1931 for the choice of their future field of concentration will take place this morning when the entire Freshman class will gather in the New Lecture Hall at 9 o'clock.

At the meeting President Lowell will address the assembled class, advising the Freshmen on methods of choosing a field of concentration. Professor W. Y. Elliott will explain the Tutorial System and the advantages to be gained by it. Delmar Leighton '19, chairman of the Committee on the Choice of Electives will outline the steps for enrollment in the various fields of concentration.

The blanks for these concentration fields, and the study card programs for next year have been sent out to the Freshman class. Students should see their Faculty advisers and representatives of the various departments open to concentration before filling in these blanks. They must be in to University Hall by April 25.

The CRIMSON in collaboration with the Committee on the Choice of Electives published last year a pamphlet of 40 pages which contains articles on the fields of concentration open to Freshmen. This publication has been sent to first-year men this week.

The information cards to be filled out include concentration and distribution for the whole college course and also the list of courses that the student elects for the first half of the Sophomore year. Tutors will be assigned before College opens next fall and these tutors will take the place that the Faculty adviser filled this year.
