Professor Vladimir Kavapetoff world famous scientist and expert musician will speak at a meeting to which all members of the University are invited in Pierce 202 at 10 o'clock today. His subject will be "Engineering".
Born in Petrograd in 1876 Professor Karapetoff received his education in Germany. For some time after his graduation he served as consulting engineer for the Russian government and was an instructor in electrical engineering in three Russian colleges Coming to the United States in 1900, he served as consulting engineer to various manufacturing concerns and in 1904 became a professor of electrical engineering at Correll University.
An ardent Sovialist: a talented musician anda owrld renowned mathematician the professor has earned a reputation as a free-thinker. He uses a spelling system of his own invention and often entertains his lecture audiences by performing on a five stringed cello which he developed himself.
