INFORMAL BASKETBALL WILL COMMENCE TODAY

OFFICIAL OPENING OF PRACTICE SET FOR NOVEMBER 24

Informal basketball practice will be inaugurated by Coach E. A. Wachter in the gymnasium of the Indoor Athletic Building today. Candidates will meet at 2.30 o'clock.

Official practice for both University and Freshman teams will begin on November 24. No definite arrangements are to be made until this regular practice starts, but it is hoped that a few men from last year's team will be able to report today. T. E. Farrell '31, this year's captain, W. S. Baskerville '32, Vahan Moushegian '32, J. L. Rex '31, and G. H. Pattison '32 are lettermen who are expected back this year.

Opening Meeting November 24

At the meeting which will be held at the Harvard Varsity Club on November 24, T. S. Woods '20, former manager of basketball, V. O. Jones '28, and W. J. Bingham '16, director of athletics, will give short talks. Minor sports H's will be awarded in basketball for the first time this year and will be given to all men playing in the Yale game.

The complete schedule for 1929-30 is as follows: December 12, Holy Cross; December 16, Boston University; December 19, City College of New York (away); December 20, West Point (away); January 10, Vermont; January 14, open; January 17, Pennsylvania State College; January 19, M. I. T.; February 7, Dartmouth (away); February 11, North-eastern; February 14, Pennsylvania; February 18, Clark; February 20, New Hampshire; February 28, Yale.

Candidates for the second assistant basketball managership should report at the H. A. A. at 2 o'clock.
