The Harvard Liberal Club and the Harvard Socialist Club have voted to be merged into one organization, George R. Dennett '36, president of the Liberal Club announced last night. According to Dennett the move was made in order to present a well-rounded program which will appeal to a greater number of undergraduates than formerly. At the same time he announced the club's disaffiliation from the National Student League in the interest of keeping the club a purely college organization. Individual members can, of course, retain membership in whatever outside organizations they desire but the Liberal Club itself is to remain non-partisan aiming to include anybody from the right to the left wing.
Arrangements have been made to use the Lowell House Tower Room for regular business meetings every other week. The speaker's program, which will be announced shortly, will contain some of the most prominent liberals in the country who will address the club about every three weeks. In addition to these activities contact will be maintained with neighboring organizations.
