Driving to secure a majority among maids and maintenance men, in an attempt to force University recognition of their unit, A. F. of L. officials of the Building Service Union will stage a giant rally in Cypress Hall tonight.
At the head of the list of speakers at the open meeting is Alan R. Sweezy '26, instructor in Economics, who has been active in labor organization here. Harry Grages, of the Boston Central Labor Union; Mary Thompson, of the Women's Trade Union League, and Rose Sullivan from A. F. of L. headquarters will also speak.
Apart from the unionization of the dining hall workers, the maintenance drive has progressed rapidly according to Robert L. Everitt, leader. He hopes tonight's demonstration will mark the first victory in his field.
