University officials yesterday fell in line with Governor Hurley's request for a continuance of Daylight Saving Time with the following statement:

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME THIS WEEK

In compliance with the request of the Governor and Council Harvard University will observe Daylight Saving Time this week. By order of the President,   (signed) Jerome D. Greene,   Secretary to the Corporation.   September 25, 1938.

A sequel to the general misunderstanding about what time it was Sunday morning afforded tardy Freshmen an opportunity to arrive late for breakfast. As late as 9:30 o'clock yawning Yardlings accosted Miss Murray, dining hall impressario, with demands for breakfast, pleading that they did not know there had been no change in time. They breakfasted.
