Despite the state supreme court ruling that the fact that a driver had one hand on a girl's knee was not proof that he was grossly negligent. Frank A. Goodwin, registrar of motor vehicles, warned today that he still considered one arm driving improper.

"On a number of occasions I have made the observation that it is wrong to drive with one arm and hug your girl with the other," the registrar said, "because such operation would seem to indicate that both the driving and the girl are being neglected. In order to be properly handled, both operations require the use of both arms. I shall continue to take away licenses from operators so neglectful." --Boston Traveler.
