About 75 Freshmen have just completed the first step toward their Senior rank by passing the required eligibility test of the Red Cross Life-saving course conducted by coaches Peterson, Frank Vaughn, and Hal Ulen.

Yesterday another course began, for the rank of instructor, which will last for two and a half weeks. To be eligible for this award, applicants must have been Senior life-savers for at least a year.

After Easter, the unsuccessful Freshmen out of the 145 enrolled will be offered another course. Upperclassmen and graduates will also be eligible for this course which will be taught by newly passed Instructors with the help of the coaches.
