13 SCHOLARS HONORED WITH SHELDON AWARDS

UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES NAMES OF THOSE CHOSEN

Thirteen Sheldon travelling fellowships, among the highest honors which the University bestows, have been awarded by the Committee on General Scholarships and the Sheldon Fund, it was announced yesterday.

The fellowships were established in 1909 by the bequest of Mrs. Amey Richmond Sheldon, in memory of her husband, who was a member of the Class of 1842. The stipends of the fellowships total $14,725, and all but one will be for study in this country. Two of them have been awarded for work this summer, while the remaining 11 will be for the academic year beginning in the fall.

The fellowships for this summer are:

Willard D. Arant 3G, of Forest Grove, Oregon; A.B. University of Oregon; Economics.

John D. Wilson 3G, of Cambridge; A.M. Tufts; Economics.
