Yale Aerials Still Menace; Summers Works With 'A's'

PLAN RALLY FOR FRIDAY

By R. EDWARD Rowse

If Yale makes much headway through the Crimson defense this Saturday, it appears increasingly likely that it will be through the medium of passes.

This fact became evident once again in yesterday's practice as the third stringers, dressed in Blue jerseys, completed several Eli passes for touchdowns and substantial gains. Even though the Varsity appeared better on the aerial defense than on Monday, Harlow is still not encouraged by the showing.

Greely Summers, Senior tailback, continued to look good in practice, spending the whole afternoon on the first team in place of Bill Wilson. It appears that, on the basis of his excellent work in the Brown game as shown in the movies last night, he has the inside track for the tailback position on the starting lineup against the Elis this Saturday.

Practice Ground Defense

In addition, to working on defense against Yale passes yesterday, the Varsity practiced its own pass offense and played a half an hour on defense against Blue running plays. The rest of the drill was spent on punting under pressure and practice in faking and ball handling.

Jack Morgan, the only regular on the doctor's list, did not take part in the whole drill, but is expected to be ready for Yale. Wes Fesler, last year's end coach and present head coach at Westleyan, was an unexpected spectator at yesterday's session. Jimmy Dunn, head coach at Northeastern also was present.

Friday's rally has been definitely set for 5 o'clock in front of Dillon Field House. The crowd for the game is expected to be between 45 and 50 thousand, and according to the H. A. A. there are still many seats left.
