College Endowment Boosted $25 by Laundryman's Gift

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Latest contribution to University coffers for the general support of the College was an unrestricted gift of $25 in cash recently received from a Chinese benefactor, Jan Quen of Jamaica Plain. Greene, secretary of the Corporation, to make a donation which included six boxes of Chinese ginger wrapped in a laundry bill.

Given in appreciation of Harvard's recognition of Chinese culture, the presentation was accompanied by a letter in quite Oriental grammar.
