Three House Winners Tackle Yale in Winter Sports Finale

House titlists in swimming, squash, and basketball will revive the traditional winter sports intramural competition with Yale this afternoon, with events listed both here and at New Haven.

Lowell House, boasting entries in two of the three contests, will bear the main burden in upholding the local honor. The Bellboy swimmers play host to Pierson College, Yale champions, in the Indoor Athletic Building at 3 o'clock today. Lowell has left all competitors in its wake up to now, downing every House for an undefeated season, and will be out to drown the Building and make it eight straight.

Meanwhile, at New Haven, the Lowell quintet will try to emulate the recent Crimson Varsity performance against the Elis, when they tackle the champion Branford College five. Paul Haskell, Walt Coulson, Dana Bresnahan, Mike Post, and high-scorer Fred Donahoe will carry a nine game Lowell winning streak into the fray.

Gold Coasters Join Forces

Rounding out the Crimson invading forces will be the six men who carried Adams House to its decisive victory in the "A" League intramural squash tournament. Branford College's strong squash squad will be pitted against Al Alpern, Ned Bothfield, Stan Friedman, John Rogers, Breck Marshall, and Corny Smith, who will wield their rackets against heavy odds.

With today's competition, squash, swimming, and basketball follow football in post-war resumption of hostilities with Yale College champions. Lowell and Adams are out to reassert Crimson House supremacy, sorely tested in the seven grid contests, in which only one local entry emerged triumphant.
