House Football Teams Face Yale College Squads Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

While Eliot battles for the intramural football championship with Yale's Berkeley College six other Houses and the Dudley Commuters surge onto Walter Camp Field this afternoon to play their Eli counterparts.

Adams vs. Saybrook

Field No. 3 3:15 p.m.

The Gold Coasters ran out of steam and three first string players at the end of the season, but still have a powerful ground attack paced by co-captain Rog Davis.

Probable Adams starting lineup: le, Reilly; lt, Nosek; lg, Turner; c, Ingham; rg, Rogers; rt, Domenie; re, Phypers; qb, Andrews; lh, Lukeman; rh, Webb; fb, Davis.

Leverett vs. Timothy Dwight

Field No. 1 3:15 p.m.

This should be an easy one for the Bunnies, who got off to a shaky start but finished their last five games with four wins and a tie. The Proxies of Timothy Dwight haven't seem a victory yet and aren't likely to go very far through Leverett's tight defense.

Probable Leverett lineup: le, Herlihy; lt, Peppard; c, Foster; g, Green; g, Saxe; rt, Farrington; re, Brown; qb, Hare; tb, Bradbury or Reynolds; wb, Gallo; fb, Wykoff.

Kirkland vs. Calhoun

Field No. 5 2 p.m.

Both Kirkland and Calhoun suffered mediocre seasons, but the Deacons lightened up their defense in their last three games. If Kirkland can throttle the Calhoun attack, perhaps the power plays of Tom Lamb and Frank Nolan can roll up a winning score.

Probable Kirkland starting lineup: lo, Samoileff; lt, Ingham; ig, Thompson; c, Voriacas; rg, Zukoski; rt, Holmes; re, Eaton; qb, French; lh, Nolan; rh, Larkin or Robbings; fb, Lamb. Winthrop vs. Davenport

Field No. 1 2 p.m.

Winthrop and the Davenport Hybrids have equal records, but the Puritans will need a lot stronger defense to check Davenport than the one which crumbled before Eliot on Monday.

Probable Winthrop starting lineup: le, Stein; lt, Horihan; lg, Southerland; c, Byrne; rg, Boardman; rt, Nathan; re, Bisbee; qb, Couch; lh, Brook; rh, Kelly; fb, Hernberg.

Dunster vs. Branford

Field No. 3 3:15 p.m.

The match-makers haven't even given the winless Funsters a chance in this one. Dunster has only scored two touchdowns this season; Branford finished second in the Eli league.

Probable Dunster starting lineup: le, Stocking; it, Flankhuczen; lg, Atkins; c, Yager; rg, Drummond; rt, Wesen; re, Donahue; qb, Rimberg; lh, Viola; rh, Butler; rb, Dumas.

Lowell vs. Pierson

Field No. 4 2 p.m.

The Bellboys, after a disappointing season, face Pierson without the services of quarterback Bob Woodruff, a fine passer and clever ball handler, who broke his rib in Monday's Kirkland game. Lowell needn't mourn too much, however, because the Pierson Slaves' only claim to fame is five straight losses, and ten injuries in their first game

Probable Lowell starting lineup: le, Thayer; lt, Burlingham; lg, Rilpey; c, Brisk; rg, Rauthruff; rt, Sweetser; re, Silver or Esch; qb, Southgate; lh, Dazcan; rh, Wilder; fb, Karassik.

Dudley vs. Trumbull

Field No. 3 2 p.m.

Trumbull was caught by the polio scare and only played four games, Dudley was caught with a porous defense and won only one game. But the Commuters aren't so bad as their record indcates. They have a driving halfback in Dave Gillbert and a pair of good ends, and may pull an upset on the Bulls.

Probable Dudley lineup: le, Egan; lt Leahy; lg, Morgan; c, Lowis; rg, Mulchaley; rt, McElroy; re, Marshall; qb, Monteith; lh, Gilbert; rh, Stearns; lb, Monafo
