Lowell captured the lead in House swimming competition last night and remained the only undefeated team in the league after beating Eliot and Leverett in a three-cornered fight.

The Bellboys outscored Leverett 35 to 13 and Eliot 31 to 17 while Eliot took second place in the meet by defeating Leverett 37 to 11. Paul Killoran and Pem Hart maintained Lowell's superiority in the freestyle and Dave Ayers stood out in the breast stroke.

Kirkland took a slight edge in the other three-way meet tying Adams 24 to 24 but beating Dunster 32 to 16. Dunster took second by topping Adams 26 to 22. Dudley forfeited a dual meet to Winthrop.

The intramural boxing preliminaries were run off yesterday with 20 semi-final matches scheduled this afternoon.

No upsets were scored in House hockey as the league-leading Eliot team swept over Leverett 10 to 1 and second place Winthrop downed Dunster 7 to 2. In the other game Kirkland edged Adams 5 to 4.

League A basketball scores: Adams 43, Leverett 31; Eliot 43, Dunster 25. League B: Adams 28, Leverett 26, Dunster 52, Eliot 19.
