Dartmouth professor Allen R. Foley missed having his head pierced by a. 23 bullet Saturday night when he decided to leave his window side living room chair and go to the kitchbu.
Two Dartmouth students whose names are being withheld will answer charges of having fired four 22 rifle shots into Foley's homes in Ranover, New Hampshire, Municipal Court today.
Foley went back to the living room when he heard the shots and spotted the two students on the New Hampshire side of the Connectient River. His house is in Norwich Vermont.
He chased the students in his car, but was unable to catch them. A workman in the ares took down the registration number of the students car.
The pair told police they were holding target practice with a utility pole as the bulls eye.
