Rejuvenation of Radcliffe's commuter affiliate system will take place during the next few weeks, provided plans of the dorm-commuter committee meet approval of the Board of Hall Presidents and the Student Council.

Under the proposed plan, commuters, by paying one half of the regular dormitory dues, may spend the night in the derms and may attend meals and informal dances. Main objective of the plan is to provide affiliation with dormitories for all senior and freshman commuters. Commuting freshmen indicated dorm preference at the time of registration.

Dorms will each appoint a liaisen representative to coordinate exchange of activities between commuters and dorm residents. Arrangements for overnight stay's will be made through the dorm representatives, who will hold office hours. Resident students will register with the head resident of the representative when vacated rooms are available.

The new system will also eliminate room exchange confusion. Rooms for overnight commuters or guests of resident students must be arranged 24 hours in advance. Members of the dorm-commuter committee will also solicit guest rooms for commuters in the event dorms are full.

The dorm-commuter committee plans to circulate information concerning prices and social rulings of all activities.

Also improving College-commuter conditions is the Cedar Hall recommendation that commuters would held the first informal dance of the fall season in Agassis House.

In line with the hospitality program, the dorm-commuter committee intends to set up on several hospitality agency similar to the Crimson Key society. If approved dorm-commuter chairman and the Dean of Residence will draw up plans for the organization.
